SMS messaging provides a direct mechanism to reach customers, potential customers and constituents. By sending content directly to their mobile device, users are more likely to consume and appropriately react to content that has been delivered.
While this is a powerful medium, a number of compliance components must be in place in order to leverage these platforms legally and correctly. The Privacy Policy and Terms of Service ("TOS") found here cover centrally initiated SMS campaigns along with those created by individuals, Acclaim Telecom Services ("ATSI") customers, end-user clients and entities. Additionally, a number of other items are identified as being required; these fall on the initiating organization to ensure they are implemented for their respective campaign.
In order to meet compliance requirements and maintain a high-degree of recipient satisfaction, some campaign message material content is not allowed on ATSI's network. These campaign materials may be controversial, inappropriate or considered a nuisance by the receiving parties. The subject matter exclusions are as follows:
This exclusions list is not exhaustive and ATSI reserves the right to exclude any campaign at its sole descretion. All campaigns are vetted for compliance prior to allowing delivery.
ATSI customers, clients and anyone initiating or participating in SMS messaging campaigns must adhere to the exclusion guidelines, campaign requirements, procedures and policies contained in the SMS messaging Policy Information documentation.
